My own dog Scamp, a playful and confident boy who grew up in a loving home with his mum, Missy. He was always full of energy and curiosity, but when his brother came to stay for three years—shortly after the arrival of my grandson—The combination of these changes overwhelmed him. Scamp experienced deep emotional distress. He suffered extreme bouts of anxiety, struggling to find his place within the new dymanic.
Symptoms & Observations
Signs of Distress:
🔸 Premature greying almost overnight🔸 Loss of thick, wavy fur—became thin and dull🔸 Increased stress, insecurity, and occasional aggressive outbursts
Through Whole Energy Body Balance Therapy, Reiki, and Homeopathy, I worked to help Scamp regain his sense of peace and well-being.
Session Highlights:
✨ Session 1: Scamp resisted at first—he was restless, jumping, and playing to avoid the work. With patience, I introduced Loving Touch and Somatic Relaxation Therapy, and he finally yawned and relaxed deeply. He slept soundly after.
✨ Session 2: A major shift! Scamp allowed an assessment without resistance. His body relaxed more deeply with each technique, releasing tension in his spine, limbs, and jaw. He yawned, twitched, and leaned into the healing work.
✨ Session 3: A turning point. Scamp completely relaxed, allowing deeper techniques without resistance. His spine felt much looser, and he slept deeply afterward—clear signs of deep healing.
I continued the sessions over a period of time, adding Reiki and Homeopathic remedies to give his vitality an extra boast.
The Outcome?
✅ His coat regained volume, thickness, and wave (though still grey, which is expected at 11 years old).✅ His vitality and confidence returned—he seemed more balanced and secure.✅ A defining moment: I looked into his eyes and said, “There you are.” He looked back as if to say, “I’m back.” ❤️
Scamp’s journey is a powerful reminder of how an integrative approach can transform a pet’s well-being. If your pet is showing signs of distress—whether emotional or physical—gentle, holistic therapies can make a world of difference.
